User Join Date: Jun 2002 Location: Illinois Posts: 713 Thanks: 1 Thanked 53 Times in 17 Posts	Dry firing without a snap cap is a no no in a Luger or any other gun without a safety spring on the pin as in a 1911. It will eventually damage the breach block. Either buy a commercially sold snap cap or make your own.
