I would love to see a jpg of the marking to be sure of the last number but I am fairly confident that it translates to: Infantry Regiment 83, Machine Gun Company, Weapon 197 (previously Weapon 267). I would like to add your gun to my data base. Would you supply the serial number? http://home.earthlink.net/~nopubl
