Hi Ron,

My father is a retired painter and he also suggested retouching varnish as a preservative. As retouching varnish dissolves over the years it doesn't affect the value.

The condition of the whole assembly is pretty good, apart from some (now deceased) wood worm damage and one missing carrying handle. I guess most damage was done during the 50+ years it lived in someone's shed
