My compliments! Excellent work. This may also shed light on the Krieghoff/Simson dispute, whether or not Krieghoff entered the Simson facilities or as they claimed themselves 'used Simson tooling as guidelines only'.

I believe it's fairly obvious that all Krieghoff did was change the name on the company building.

The Gustloff facilities are other remains of Simson, including their bicycle and vehicle production facilities. Makes sense also.

So your conclusion is that 'not an awful lot' of postwar Krieghoffs were assembled at all?
