Mike, the Luger is real! It is a mismatched shooter and sold for a decent price. I'm not sure if the grips are original German Black Bakelite or reproductions.

Don't forget that Lugers were numbered in lots of 10,000 in a block, so many Number "2" Lugers did exist, as did many "1" Lugers.

To expand, the first WWII Type Mauser Luger was number 1, then 2, and so on, in 1934. When they got to 9999, the next number was 1a, then 2a, and so on. Then 9999a to 1b, 2b, etc. So you can see there were many No. 2 Lugers between 1934 and 1942, since they manufactured over 100,000 Lugers a year between 1936 and 1942, inclusive!
