Thank you for all your responses!! After corresponding with G.T, I have decided to use a 1/2" by 1" by 7" plastic bar as a fulcrum, inserted into the middle of the fork, and levered towards the offending fork. I have inspected with a loupe and have not found any cracks. I am very much hoping to avoid breaking the fork, and will go very very slowly and incrementally. I'll report back here and let you guys know how it goes once the plastic bar arrives. Many thanks to G.T. for helping me understand how to execute this method.
