Why is the takedown lever marked in the military fashion. Correct me if I am wrong, but it should be underneath the lever.

I thought the same thing but I read Dwight Gruber's "Test Eagle Chaos" post and it said that AE Lugers approx. serial #'d 6000 through 8977 can be marked on the take down lever on the round right side, the left face or left underneath.
