None of them are "virgins". They have all been shot before. Someone else had them before you did, and before that guy, and so on.

As mentioned above, all of these Lugers have been shot, if not recently, then for certain decades ago... Most will not ever break if the correct ammo is used, and seldom will break even if the wrong ammo is used!
It is a gamble, or crapshoot, and the boogieman is always right there, ready to strike. I have found that the worst enemy to my collectibles as far as damage or issues related to ownership, are mostly caused by me bumping, dropping, or in any other way possible, causing damage to a gun where before I handled it, it was just fine!.... ![]() So, I've come to the conclusion that I don't have the kind of "on-going" luck that is required for shooting an all matching Luger... It will break on me in a heartbeat! The rest of my lifes luck runs about the same. If I don't go looking for trouble, I can pretty much avoid trouble... All my shooters, whether a nice condition miss match, or a pigs ear condition Lugers run fine and seldom break, and that's probably the way i'll roll from here on out... Best to all, til....lat'r....GT...
