The Luger looks very nice, and I am sure the overall blue coverage approaches 99%. However, the light pitting on the barrel and side plate detracts from the otherwise pristine appearance. I am not familiar with the value of Lugers in France, but here in the US, the value would be much closer to $1000, a little more/a little less. The light pitting on the barrel will clean up some by using 0000 steel wool and gun oil VERY LIGHTLY. The rust blue on a 1915 will tolerate this treatment quite well. It is a very good example and the 1915 date is not easy to find. If you do not mind paying a little too much for it, it might be a long time before you find another as good.
