Without the "GERMANY" or "MADE IN GERMANY" stamp, your Luger would have been made for commercial sale anywhere else in the world other than the States. That assumes that when you say it's a 1920, it isn't dated on the receiver but is a commercial model.

The full serial number including a suffix letter if present would tell us more about what you have. So would nice clear pictures.

My 1920 has no MADE IN GERMANY, either. Don't know how it got to the states.
