Sorry,
but a Pelican case and foam are also "bad" for storage, IMO. No air gets in or out, so if you close it with humidity inside it stays; foam will deteriorate. Best stored in a climate controlled area, in or out of a sock or other "breathable" cover to prevent dings- it that is a problem. I store mine in a safe with dividers and keep the temperature constant and the humidity low.
