https://www.gunbroker.com/item/797319854 I think you did fine - you have a WW1 made by DWM in 1917 - at some point it was issued / taken over by the police, receiving sear safety (see FAQ) in the early 1930's. At some point it was sent to Simson for refurbishment - where it received a rear toggle - it could also have been refurbished at the police armory in Berlin for the newer barrel etc.
