Default Extractor and Safety

Sheephearder,

Here are a couple of photos that should clear up the explanation of the extractor and safety markings.
Anybody care to suggest a value for the pistol, it's not for sale, but curious as to what it could be worth.
Condition is good, some slight rust, most bluing is good, bore and function are very good.
Does anyone know why the Portuguese Contract pistols were made in the 1906 style instead of the style of the current models. Did the contract continue from the initial agreement from the 1906 contract?
Thanks to all for the input.
