Rich, This configuration is pretty standard for the P-38. The top opens and is affixed to the side, once undone the side flap is pushed aside to grasp the pistol.

because this 'style' is what the infamous bodyguard/flashlight Luger used..do you have a link handy to show this holster?

Yes...Ron Wood posted them some time back...





Is there a specific name for this style??? Like "Sniatecki holster" or something like that???

What is the stud attached to??? The main body or the side flap???
