Well, the sad truth is that (because of safety and reliability issues) I would not carry a Luger Parabellum pistol or use it around the house for protection.

The design of pistols is a moving target, and with improvements things have changed over time..

None of this stops my fascination and preference for collecting them... If it's any consolation, you'll find many of the parts of the M1929 Swiss Lugers were made by Sig...

Even though I find them quite safe to carry and reliable enough for "social use". I wouldn't carry one either. Essentially because if it ever was used. I would never see it again. For that, Glocks are reliable, quite accurate, very safe to carry, fairly inexpensive and quite easy to find. And I wouldn't shed a tear if it had to go.

What I contest is "finest target military grade". I'll concede they are very good, maybe on par with the Luger. But I don't find them better.
