I own a Umarex blowback version and am amazed at the degree of detail that has been implemented into these BB guns. Someone really did their homework. They are a hoot to shoot.

I have the non-blowback Umarex - the detail is impressive!

Ah! But can you double tap?

The detail on the blowback is also amazing and it's a real semi-auto.

Disclaimer: I don't work for Umarex, nor do I own shares of the Company, I don't even own one of their P08s, even though that might change in the future.

I feel sure that he can. The first generation Umarex(non blowback) was a semi-auto. It has more of a double action trigger setup compared to the 2nd. Gen. model which simulates the original P08. Actually my P08 blowback has a better trigger pull then my original Luger.

You are right. It's sort of a double action only thing.

But the blowback version is much more like the original.

By the way the original Lugers trigger pull can be vastly improved from the factory standard. But it needs the work of someone who really knows what he's doing and has very good knowledge of the Luger pistol.

My shooters are set to 3.5 pounds to be on the safe side of the 3 pounds minimum accepted in our competitions.

This is so true. A "bubba" trigger job can easily end up causing said Luger to double or even go full auto. The toggle train is so fast in it's action, that when one doubles it sounds like only one round was fired. I have had it happen a time or two, and it definitely will get your attention.

Not only "Bubba" can do it, but a perfectly reworked trigger group can make a double happen. It only takes servicing two pistols at the same time and inadvertently swap the sear bars on assembly. Seen it happen. And also fired a double while trying to figure out what was wrong. Not funny.

I've had it happen to me with a stuck firing pin in a .22 cal Hi-Standard Trophymatic...The whole clip sounded like one shot...

(I know; I've posted this before...but I'm bored...)
