I think it's a neat bayonet! I have a US M-9 bayonet (I think current issue) with a 'sawback' blade, but the teeth are very fine and not as protruding. It also has the wire-cutter scabbard so maybe the M-9 'sawback' is for metal cutting rather than wood...
