RC is the acceptance of a part that did not meet specifications, it was used mostly by Erfurt, but also by DWM, it simply means, oops, this doesn't pass first look for that part, and a senior inspector 'signed off' on it!

Ed,
you mis-read me again, probably 'cause I rite rotten.

the lady in question said "RC means reworked after WWI",
I was attempting to point out that (again) she was wrong. I re-worded my part of the post, maybe I should have just cut and pasted the original
verbiage.

I reckon you did not read the auction description? It's worth the effort as an example of creative fiction.
