GERMANY is stamped. I will get more info. I know the Ottoman Empire was in combat in and around Kirkuk in defense against the British Army in WWI - and I believe the Ottoman Army to be equipped with Lugers. (Also found a WWI vintage Colt 1911, albeit was in Kurdish hands) For the particular pistol, you can see a paperclip like wire modified on the extractor. Rifling is near shot out. Also has grip safety, which is interesting. The front sight blade is completely worn to nub. Just basically reiterating that it was taken from a KIA ISIS fighter after a failed ISIS assault on Peshmerga held village. |

Extractor, not ejector, Rich. Look at the breech toggle and you can see that the extractor is missing and somebody shoved a bent wire in the channel to more or less accomplish the extractor's job.
