Borchardt "Cleaning Kit"

No, I havenâ??t shot it, for several reasons. The piece is nearly mint, cased with stock, holster, extra mag and cleaning kit. The case is kind of neat. It is a bit ratty but it has â??HB 1893â?� in gold leaf on the lower right hand corner of the top. Havenâ??t seen another, but I heard of one.

Original ammo is hard to find and very expensive and collectable. The Borchardt round is essentially the same as the C96 Mauser (Mauser copied it), but the Mauser cartridge is too hot for the Borchardt. The risk of breaking a 110 year-old classic worth thousands of dollars is far too great for me. I am content to let it bask unfired in retirement.
