Nice luger. For the record the stock lug appeared in 1913. In 1913 one may find both. I have a 1913 DWM with stock lug serial number 4012 b. I believe this is near the serial number where the stock lug appeared. Bill

George, I hate to churn the pot, but I own a 1906 American Eagle 9mm, serial #25755 with the "PRV" marking in the frame well. I believe someone in the past on the Forum asked for a tally of others with lugers possessing the PRV mark and most were 1906 vintage to the best of my recollection. I believe the meaning of the PRV may not be what we think but I have no better explanation than yours. My 1906 AE has no other proofs.
