These screws are not metric. I had a dozen or so made some years ago and they are some weird thread size I didn't bother to remember since I would never need it. They cost me $25 each but when you need one you need one. As I recall the tap and die to make the screws was quite out of the ordinary and extremly expensive because of that. I don't guess a guy would buy a set like that for two screws...?

By "stripped", I meant no parts were included. Sorry for the confusion. The screws that I want are the long ones that attach thru the wood
The 'repo' screws work just fine, just that they are not quality screws. I'll see what I can find that are 8-32. Kind regards. |
