The Packi leather on holsters is treated with an acid derivative that is meant to age or antique the appearance. It smells terrible.
Just as an FYI, Colombian leather bought from a reputable vendor is top notch.

Used to use baseball glove oil to replace the smell of a cheap leather...
takes time to rub it in, but it helps
