Ed I did have these on Jans forum. I have not run a brush or patch down these barrels. I am thinking it's either some grease or dust w/grease. I'll check them later and get back. Thanks for the reply

I sure hope that's grease! [Pic below]
Might want to clean those out before you post them for sale.  There has been quite a few NOS 4" barrels on GB/eBay in the last year or so; $200 does seem to be top [asking] price...No idea what they have actually sold for...
