If that Luger were mine, and I was going to shoot it in competition, as you say that you plan to do, I would at least purchase another extractor(numbered or reproduction), and a fluted firing pin(numbered or reproduction) to use in this Luger. I might just find another complete toggle train and switch it out for the original. The parts most likely to break with shooting are in the toggle train.

I have broken two extractors(not numbered to my Luger) due to shooting it. I also replaced my numbered breecblock with a reproduction breechblock and a fluted firing pin.

These guns are old, and parts break......kinda like old humans!!
