Hi Chris,
You should be able to get a .30 Luger commercial pistol (called 1923 Alphabet Commercial) in good original finish for that price. I bought a nice one for $675 a couple of years ago. Refinished, and in .30 Luger, I think that the price is high. It's not collectable and would be considered a shooter Luger. Perhaps $450 - $500 if in proper mechanical and shooting condition with original magazine. Marc
