You're right. This is a holster for the French Saint Etiènne Modele 1892 revolver. It is what is called "old model" pattern.

Here is mine, with an old battle horse, a kind of "Luger nemesis" of the WWI trench warfare.

I think the price is high for the gun (maybe 500-700 in excess), but as I do not live in US, I'll let the others do the math here.
