Wolfgang, most, if not all, of the police Lugers I have recorded from the p, q and r series of Alphabet DWM Commercials have this small eagle stamped on the underside of the barrel. I believe this indicates these were replacement barrels installed by the police to convert the 7.65-mm commercials to 9-mm. The eagle may be a Simson mark.

Don,
the guns you have recorded, do the have proofs at the breech or not ??? are the military stlye renumbered ?? regards, wolfganggo ....
