Necked down 45 Win Mag??? Another bottleneck wildcat???
Jim was one of the guys I did the 357/44 mag conversion for. Jim had a 6" bbl S&W "N" frame that I converted. 44 Mag cases run through a 357 Auto-Mag die. Clymer ground the reamer, my Bridgeport did the cylinder reaming. I had to make up an indexing jig, but it turned out really well. I still have my 357/44 S&W nickle 8 3/8" bbl revolver... I lost interest in magnums after firing the 454 Casull and the 44 Auto-Mag. Every joint in that arm hurt.
