Help with a pre-war p35 purchase?

My buddy just bought a pre-war HI-Power. The gun looks like a real pre-war. It has the same markings as the one he purchased. The gun hasn't been buffed much if its been refinished as those stampings are pretty shallow.IMHO the finish is original.
The stock for this pistol is not correct. It should be the flat type board stick with a attached leather holster. This stock is for a Canadian made Inglis which was a WW2 copy of the Browning made gun.

The pistol looks like a pre-war Hi Power - the markings on the left side indciate that it was accepted by the Belgian military. Serial number should be below 35000.

The stock is canadian and it is illegal to attach that stock to that pistol. Maybe 10 years in a fed institution. Plus the Feds would take all of your other guns.
