Removing the Artillery rear sight

Hi,
My Arty has a problem!
I need a little more info on what to try and do.

The rear sight of my Arty I just replaced because the first two cogs were chewed up from the recoil. The new one, original and was still in cosmoline I installed and it also jumps forward from the recoil. And if I don't find a solution soon it's not going to last long.

I tried the wire tie; a one-piece self attaching velco; and a hose clamp. The hose clamp I used electric tape to protect the gun, which I believe that's is why it also slid or jumped forward.

The next try will be straightening the flat-bend tension bar under the slider to reduce the tension that was mentioned in a post somewhere and that it solved the problem.
