Hi Orv,
Numbering of holsters seems to have been peculiar to the Imperial and Weimar Navy as well as all over the board for Polezi units. I have a very interseting Weimar navy/early Nazi 4" pistol in 7.65 that has the pistol SN, the Weimar navy proof and the caliber all stamped on the face of the holster. The holster is depicted in one of Jan Still's books, why the pistol is not portrayed is a mystery...the really neat thing is that the pistol, mag and holster all have the same property number on them. Picked it up at MAX 2000 for a song. Some days are wonderful! Tom |
