Here's one I use on the wife when she thinks I have been bad.

"I'll try to do better next time" translated as probably not

Sad story about the corvette but it reminds me of the old adage about the key to a successful marriage.

When the wife says something wrong..... say nothing.

When you say something right..... say nothing.
