Hi George,
Welcome to the forum. If you look on the front of the frame, just above the trigger guard, you should find a script letter under "1752". The letter is part of the serial number, and is a suffix, i.e. "1752x" Marc

the number looks like a fancy x or a but I'll have to get the magnifying glass out again. I'm real happy with it so far. Now my p-38 has company in the safe.
