Hi Nick, As a father and grandfather, allow me to give you some gray haired advice. This Luger is valuable because your parents value it. Because it doesn't appeal to the specialized tastes of Luger collectors, it is not worthless. One of my most cherished possessions is a pair of cheap brass candlesticks, repaired several times, that belonged to my grandmother. I hope that, one day, you will appreciate this gun's true value.
