I am really surprised the gunsmith you took it to let you take it knowing there was still a shell in the chamber? You would think a good gunsmith would keep it and resolve the problem?

That's what gunsmiths do!

Bob,
When I got the gun back from the gunsmith he had already removed the bullet, so he did keep it until the problem was resolved.

I still would like someone to date my Luger and tell me anything else they can about it.....

(I just love this forum !!)
