Hi,
Many thanks to you all Police Luger, Jerry & Ed for your quick responses. First, I had oil this Luger before I put it away. Got to do it again. I read a post on Care & Feeding for Lugers, will pull it up and follow those instructions. Second, to Ed...The proofs read Eagle 6 (with another Eagle on top), Eagle 33 & Eagle 6. The stock lug reads Eagle 6, I believe that would be at the very bottom of the grip strap (if I'm understanding what a "Grip Strap" is). Is this helpful? Thanks again for your help. One of these pics was a 'Random Album Picture' today, and as I've never seen pics of a Simson before (they don't get discussed much) I'm curious about the 'flaking' of the bluing...It's best seen on the safety lever but also on the toggle...
Is this 'flaking' typical of Simson's??? ![]() Why would this happen???
