Thanks to every one for all the information. this was interesting, in asking about lugers at a local gun shop. the guy behind the counter said that the lugers were once offered as a packaged deal with winchester bullets in a green canvas bag, which I have, is there any truth about this because I cannot find any information that would support that.

never heard that before, it is possible, but i have never heard this. Was it an older store with several older guys? As this word of mouth would have to ahve been passed down from person to person.


perhaps others have heard this story?
