Jack, I live a few minutes from a Mexican border crossing and go often. They check no one going into Mexico. Just a guard who waves you in. He might every 10th time look in your trunk but NEVER search your car.
If Mexico REALLY wants to stop guns smuggled in they should secure their border. They don't or they would.

I'm with you... it's a complete load of crap. It wasn't a Mexican official speaking, it was someone from the U.S.

Today, these kinds of statements are regarded as political genius: Advocate for poor neighbor by restricting access to "evil" firearms.

Yesteryear, nonsense like this would be outed as the treacherous exercise it really is: Placating an enemy of the state by restricting the liberty of your own population.

I do consider Mexico an enemy of the state. They are not merely turning a blind eye... they are actively encouraging a civilian invasion of our country.
