hold open

I just got one from Tom. He was great...I must have been a dunce.
Hear my sad story before you attempt the installation.
Just today I got the spring and had no trouble fitting it into the hold-open. Then I tried to install the unit into the frame and snapped the little sucker off! Is there a trick to getting the springged hold-open into its slot???
Ed, you're almost a neighbor (Phoenixville). You going to the VF show this weekend?

I had the same result for the same reason! Even more odd, since I have not had that problem in the past. How should it be done?

YES AND NO I am meeting a friend to pick up some stuff and meeting a guy to buy a PP. I will be at the show at 9:30, unsure if I will be going inside since I already spent all my money
