Welcome, I moved your posting from Wanted to Buy to the help section.
Pictures are needed for valuation, even a guess. It is a 1935 (G date), S/42 (mauser code) The symbol you describe doesn't sound familar but I assume that it is the nazi eagle proofing marking. Ed
