Hi CB,
B.1.R.C.3.6. Translates to: Bavarian 1st Infantry Regt. Company 3 weapon #6. What makes you think it's a 1920 Commercial? The only way that these markings could be on a 1920 Alphabet commercial is if the upper half was put on an Imperial frame. It's entirely possible that what you saw was a 1908 Ist Issue. There would be no chamber date and the proofs would be on the left side of the receiver. It wouldn't have a stock lug and the serial numbering would be hidden much like that of a commercial. Ron
