Michael, welcome to the forum. This appears to be a WW1 marking and will let others look it up (I am at work).
It also helps to know what era / type of luger this marking comes from. Obviously it must be marked DWM. Are there any date stamps on it? Is the R letter like the rest, or is it stylized kinda like this R? Approximate serial number to include suffix on the front of the frame? Ed
