Pete, congratulations on a nice gun and great pics.... especially the close-ups.
I note that the trigger bar has the serial number "04" stamped upside down! This was likely done when the sear bar was modified to meet the new requirements of, IIRC, 1916. (Don't quote me on the year as I'm going from memory!) The mod allows opening of the action while the safety is applied.
