There are exact replica carbine stocks on ebay, not as nice as an original, but decent - I bought one from a friend that was cleaned up by Jim S here on the forum

Val7711, that is indeed a fine looking piece. Check out the leather carrying case that Jerry Burney makes for these Luger carbines. They are absolutely beautiful and would make a great addition to your unit. BTW, I don't work for Jerry.

I definitely check it out it does look like a beautiful case. I will fist like to find out , who put this gun together . Since its probably not a true 1920 model. Then get a proper stock for it. But a case will definitely be nice to have too.

I know you'd like it to be a Martz gun, but if marked, he marked 'most' of them. I had a 4 inch bull barrel that when I bought it, they said, I think its a Martz. On the forum, everyone said, no, I don't think so.

Yours looks almost exactly like the one Eugene G (Lugerman) made for me.

I completely disassembled it. Its DEFINITELY not Martz. Its a 1916 all matching that someone turned into a 16 inch barrel carbine . I will get a well made stock for it and enjoy it for what it is or sell it. At this point , who made it is only a guess.

It just depends on what you like or want. I look at my records I keep of guns I've sold and I say, what, I have owned 3 Test Lugers? I owned that many 1911's! Why'd I sell them!

Oddly enough Val7711 a stock just came up @ GunBroker for $495.00

It's not original and the fittings I find could be tighter but you may be able to score it cheaper for that reason.
Re-fitting the hardware is relatively easy IMO.

It looks like it may work. If I decide to keep the carbine, I will try to search for original stock ( will be tough not even knowing who build the gun) or have a nice one made for it

The hard part is the fitting. A gunsmith can do a custom fit adjustment~ I would definitly go for the stock! It triples the value of your gun!

I look at it again. Speaking of value , I dont even know what the gun is .... LOL.. But stock would definitely be nice to have.
