Richard, Stymie shows the forward sling keeper on the left side. It is forced to the right on MP40's I have seen by a bar in the sling ring. This makes no sense to me, as put on the supposed correct way, the sling crosses in front of the ejection port. One has to wonder.
This is one of the sexiest weapons the Germans had and is very well made. Like the Thompson, a little on the heavy side. Jerry Burney
