Yep,
Ron is right, the pistol is a land dwellers piece of kit, the holster is a water dwellers piece of kit. The gun is numbered as #28 of the staff of the 11th infantry regiment. The holster was that of gun #28 on one of the Dutch navy vessels. All in all, it would make a nice pair
