I bought one of these about 6-7 years ago. It is *HEAVY* and is for Lugers, does not appear to be compatible with P-38s.
Mine is marked C 216 I N 3-43.

Suspect it was intended to be a shipping container and also a shipboard arms room for handguns, but I may be FOS; wouldn't be the first time.

Dunno what I will do with it, but it don't eat much.
