I agree with Tom H., the military 1935 P.08 holster is very, very scarce. I know some advanced collectors that have just about everything but no "G" date military holster.

I have wondered why that is the case and, right or wrong, this is the scenario that I have come up with. I believe the German military wanted a lot of Lugers in 1934. Mauser just couldn't produce what they wanted but the holster makers were easily able to manufacture the supply of holsters to match the desired number of Lugers. So, since Mauser production fell short, the 1934 holsters were over stocked and were issued with "G" date Lugers. Additional 1935 holsters were ordered but not nearly as many as there were "G" date Lugers.
