Stu, You are correct. There are a some pieces not serialized on most commericals lugers (receiver, hold open, firing pin,breech block,safety bar and lever) that are numbered on the militaries. Also the mid toggle link is usually numbered interally. If the above parts are serialize on a 20/23 commerical, chances are that it was reworked for the military. Tom H.
